DFLSA Inc. began operations in 2005 as an SME management consultancy in Guyana and in Suriname and has offices located in central Georgetown and in central Paramaribo.

DFLSA Inc. is in the business of making medium and long-term loans to SME (five to twelve years) between US$50,000 to US$500,000.

DFLSA Inc. is licenced as a financial institution in Guyana and in Suriname and plans to work closely with financial institutions in those countries especially with loan participations and other co-financing arrangements.

DFLSA Inc. is similar to DFL in terms of its dedicated focus on Small Enterprises and Medium-sized Enterprises but it also carries on the business of microfinance.  DFLSA Inc. is strongly capitalized to meet the special needs of such enterprises in two countries that have a history of business interruptions and dislocations due various socio-political and economic factors as well as natural disasters.  In that regard, we highly value the strategic involvement of the EIB and the IIC as shareholders and the active support of the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF).

DFLSA Inc. has pioneered an innovative system of loan appraisal at the Small Enterprise level and is dependent on local management and staff in each country. DFL and CDN Management Services Ltd. will provide technical support to DFLSA Inc.
